Hi, I’m Owlby!
I'm the head of learner engagement here at OWL. It's my job to make sure you're understanding and enjoying the content.
Any feedback you send in for the modules all comes into my inbox and I'll make sure it's implemented by the development team.

Our Founder's Story
Will isn't the quickest to share his story, but has talked through why he started OWL;
"I suppose it tracks back to university. It revealed to me just how unprepared young adults were to enter the wider world and what was to come. For the first time in my life it occurred to me that other people hadn't been through the same childhood. Not everybody had to grow up so early, so quickly.
Even within my, admittedly small, bubble of friends, I saw people I cared about struggle with money, nutrition, mental health... Really heavy topics on their plate, with no knowledge of how to even begin to address it.
I've always been a "fluffy" person. Caring and taking care of the people around me has always made me feel good. Whenever my friends needed support I was there, trying my best to help them.
I wanted to find them help without an ulterior motive. Something that wasn't a sales funnel, or marketing, or any other form of content leading you towards something else. Everywhere I looked the information was either locked behind a paywall, or had some kind of agenda, or bias hidden within. They needed just, plain, help!
Ashamedly, all those years ago, I admitted defeat. However, with a renewed vigor I've decided to do it myself. Seeing the next generation of my family and the children of friends going through the exact same issues as my friends, breaks my heart. It was clear we were in a perpetual cycle.
That is why I decided to BREAK. THE. CYCLE. To build a platform for life-skills that people deserve. I'm now hoping to get the platform introduced to the secondary education sector and become the go-to.
Ultimately we need to prepare our world's future, for theirs'.
What's the plan?
Over the coming months, we aim to have our platform thoroughly tested with a look to being Ofqual recognised. This will mean that by using our platform you will gain tangible qualifications that you can take with you into further life.
We aim to keep this as affordable as possible, as we believe the skills we teach should be a given, unlike traditional schooling where textbooks for one subject alone can cost more than a year's subscription to OWL.
We are also attempting to approach the Department of Education for guidance on central funding, which would essentially grant end users access for free!
What's the plan?
I'm only a humble owl, but close your eyes for me. Picture every person being equipped with the skills that traditional education leaves behind. Better money management, a better understanding of our own mental wellbeing, be able to smash that interview thanks to tips, and the ability to tackle minor house repairs or vehicle repairs with complete competence.
Being equipped with these skills would level-up society immeasurably, gearing up the people of the United Kingdom to focus on what's really important in life.
